Alex likes to spend her spare time hiking, camping, paddle boarding, doing art projects and going to the park with her friends. She grew up in a small town in Nebraska, where she helped her family with a fun summer hobby: driving an ice cream truck called the “IScream” Truck. She loved growing up in a close knit community. She loved living in Colorado for 5 years, enjoying all the outdoor activities, the pretty autumn season and winter skiing! She currently lives in San Francisco and loves learning about her new city’s unique architecture and history.
Alex was first exposed to occupational therapy through a special education preschool where her mother taught. After watching how passionate, impactful and fun the OT was, she began to research the career. Alex became so excited about becoming an OT she co-founded the occupational therapy club in college. After undergraduate, she completed her Master’s degree in OT in Fort Collins, Colorado at Colorado State University.
