Amy, originally from Ohio, has lived in the bay area for over 20 years. She is happiest when she is active, outdoors, and helping others. Amy is mom to two teenage daughters and one 4-legged pooch. Her family has fun being a part of the musical theater scene in Marin. She has performed in two shows at Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley; The Little Mermaid and Funny Girl. Amy enjoys hiking the trails of Marin, playing at Stinson Beach, gardening and cooking.
Amy graduated from The Ohio State University, where she earned a BA in Occupational Therapy. She knew she wanted to be an OT after a stint of volunteering in an OT/PT department, at a trauma hospital in Cleveland, during high school. OT has been a great fit for her as she enjoys problem solving with individuals and families to support each unique child. Early in her career, Amy worked with adult clients with neurological impairments and orthopedic injuries. She currently also works for Dominican University, supervising a pediatric lab with second year OT students.
