Marika’s favorite things to do include playing ultimate frisbee at the international level, practicing yoga, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. Marika grew up on a sheep farm in Maryland and her favorite books as a child were “Miss Rumphius” by Barbara Cooney and “Ish” by Peter Reynolds. Marika has enjoyed living in Ghana, Peru, and Costa Rica as well as traveling to the Philippines and biking in Ireland. She lives in San Francisco.
Marika became an OT because she wanted to work in a profession that looked at the mind/body connection and would allow her to work with kids and their families in various settings. She attended Boston University.
